Process Essay

  • One of the new groundbreaking methods of research that have been implemented in the area of pedagogy is online learning. There has been a great change in the methods of training in the last few years. Using the internet and machines, students can now learn remotely.

With the advent of emerging technology, online learning comes in many forms and has been evolving. Most of the world's universities, high schools and other institutions have all adopted this method of learning, and the online class student population is growing rapidly. Compared to ordinary classroom education, there has been a lot of study on the results of online education.

There are considerable differences between the online learning environment and classroom environment. In the online environment, teachers and pupils don’t meet physically as opposed to the classroom environment where teachers and pupils interact physically. In this study, the impact of the online learning on the students, teachers and institutions involved was examined.

  • Studies show that online research is of great benefit to students, teachers, and the institution in general, and that technical innovation and growing efficacy of the learning process will resolve the current challenges.

  • The freedom of students to study at their own convenience is one of the main benefits of online learning. Students had to abandon their comfort zones for a long time and go to lecturers. This environmental shift causes students to lack focus. E-learning, on the other hand, helps students to select the best study setting and this enhances their ability to understand. As a result, compared to traditional classroom learning, students appreciate the learning process.

Time and expense savings are another benefit. Online learners can study at home and this saves them the expense of travel and lodging. This is in contrast to the classroom setting in which students have to pay for travel and lodging expenses, as well as all other learning process-related costs.

  • Another advantage of online learning is accessibility to learning content. Students engaging in online studies have unrestricted access to learning materials, which allows them to research efficiently and effectively. On the other hand, as the progress of the lesson, students in the classroom setting have to take notes and these notes might not be correct compared to the materials uploaded on websites.

  • While online learning has many issues, such as lack of student input and lack of the right technologies to perform online learning effectively, these drawbacks can be overcome by updating the E-Leaning systems and using online discussion forums and modern web-based applications.

  • To conclude, the students, tutors and the institution delivering these courses benefit from online learning. Therefore, I would recommend that online learning be introduced in all learning institutions and that studies be done on how to improve this learning process.
